modern slavery act transparency statement

This statement is made on behalf of ilke Homes and its affiliated undertakings as prescribed by section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (MSA). Ilke Homes is a company that delivers precision-engineered homes. We work collaboratively with our partners to create homes to meet local requirements. More details of our business are available on our website.

This statement has been prepared by us in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities during the financial year ending 31st March 2019.

We are committed to ensuring that there is no slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory human labour, abuse of power over vulnerable individuals, human trafficking or any other form of exploitation as contemplated by the MSA (Modern Slavery) in any part of our business or in our supply chain.

At ilke Homes we aim to have transparent business operations and performance. We follow a high set of ethics and values and these guide our governance procedures and management decisions. We are committed to expanding our operations globally in a sustainable manner for the benefit of our customers, employees, and the wider community. We take our corporate responsibility very seriously and this forms the foundation of our strategy and business decisions.

Some of the actions we have taken to ensure compliance include:

● Our recruitment process involves ensuring that pay and working conditions are appropriately managed.
● We are putting in place systems and controls to ensure Modern Slavery is not taking place in our supply chains. We will ensure that our relevant policies are communicated, and we will insist that everyone within our supply chain meets our high standards. The policies and our Supplier Code of Conduct will apply to all of our agents, consultants, contractors, employees and temporary workers.
● We provide training to our staff and we require that our business partner provide similar training to their staff
● We take great care when we select our suppliers. In order to identify and mitigate the risk of Modern Slavery in our supply chain we carry out checks and due diligence in connection with Modern Slavery on existing suppliers and prospective suppliers on a risk assessed basis.
We will continuously monitor our activities to ensure that we are adopting best practice.
